Your homepage promises more pipeline. Marketers want to see how.
Your product works and its users can show results. But you're selling to people who write promises like yours for a living. They ask an assistant for options, look for how it actually works — data flow, integrations, method — and skip anyone who only offers outcomes. This playbook shows how to market the mechanism.
The short versionMarTech usually loses buyers because its pages promise outcomes instead of showing how the product works, pricing by contacts or events is hard to estimate, and trials go quiet before any data is connected. Mechanism pages with real screenshots and data flows, case studies that show their method, estimable pricing and trial onboarding fix it.

Why good MarTech still loses the marketer
Marketers write promises for a living. They want the mechanism.
A marketing lead evaluating software knows exactly how vendor copy is written, because they write it too. They ask an assistant for options, skim past outcome claims and look for how it actually works: data sources, integrations, the model behind the number, what it can't do. Then they estimate the cost and connect real data in a trial. Vendors that show the workings get shortlisted; vendors that only promise get filtered out.

Why doesn't AI recommend our marketing software?
Asked for the best tool for a job, assistants favour vendors whose pages explain how the product works and whose descriptions match across independent sources. A site of outcome headlines and stock dashboards gives them nothing specific, so the answer names the challenger that documented its model, data sources and limits.

How should marketing software explain its pricing?
MarTech pricing scales by contacts, events, seats or tracked spend, and marketing budgets are set once a year. Buyers want the scaling unit, worked examples and what happens at the next tier. “Pricing that grows with you” tells them nothing; a plain explanation is easier to approve and is what assistants quote.

Why do our MarTech trials go quiet?
A MarTech trial without connected data is a screenshot tour, and most buyers run two or three at once. The trial that helps them connect a real source in the first few days becomes the one they judge the others against. Trial sign-ups need guided setup, a nudge sequence and a person for larger accounts.

Questions MarTech teams ask
Straight answers, no sales script.
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, a 30-minute call is the fastest route — no pitch, no deck.
Won't showing how it works let competitors copy us?
Competitors can already sign up for a trial. What you publish is the level of detail a buyer needs to trust it: data flow, method, integrations, limits. Your advantage is in execution, not in keeping the architecture diagram secret.
Our case studies have strong numbers. Why rewrite them?
Because sceptical buyers don't believe numbers without method. Add the baseline, the period, what was measured and what else changed. The number stays if it holds up; it just becomes credible, and quotable by assistants.
Should we admit what the product can't do?
Yes, plainly. Marketers know every tool has limits. A page that says where you aren't the right fit earns trust for everything else on the site and filters out buyers who would churn.
Is a free trial enough without content?
A trial still has to be found and chosen first. Buyers shortlist through assistants, comparison pages and review sites before they sign up. Content gets you into the trial; onboarding gets you through it.
How long before this shows in trials or demos?
Onboarding and routing fixes can show within weeks. Being named in AI shortlists and comparison searches usually takes a few months. We don't guarantee rankings, mentions or conversions.
You're an agency selling to marketing software companies. Why trust you?
Fair question. We show our own method: the prompts we run, how we score mentions and what we can't measure. You see the same baseline data we do, and you can judge the mechanism yourself.
Which social platforms matter most for a MarTech company?
LinkedIn first, with YouTube for walkthroughs. Marketers follow practitioners on LinkedIn and watch screen recordings before they start a trial. Posts that show how the product works, including what it doesn't do, earn more trust than outcome claims, and every post should point to a trial or pricing page that works without a sales call.
Do we get a free website for our product?
Yes. Every monthly plan includes a free 5-page website for your product — fast, AI-readable and yours to keep. It goes live within 48 hours once your plan is active and the launch checklist is done. Your domain, hosting and any paid tools sit outside the offer and stay in your name; online shops and booking systems are quoted separately. What's included
