The fee comparison had six platforms. Yours wasn't one of them.
Investors moving money to a platform usually compare charges first: account fees, dealing fees, fund costs, transfer-out fees. They do it in comparison tables, review articles and, increasingly, assistant answers. This playbook shows what happens when those comparisons leave you out — and where new accounts stall before funding.
The short versionInvestment platforms usually lose investors in comparisons they're absent from: fee tables and assistant answers that don't include them, charges that can't be added up from the platform's own site, and silent transfers. Clear charges, accurate third-party data and transfer updates fix most of it, within the promotion rules that apply.

Why a good platform still loses the investor
Investors don't compare platforms. They compare the total cost.
Most investors can't judge a platform's tools before they've used them, but they can compare charges. They search for the lowest-cost platform for their situation, open a comparison table or ask an assistant, and shortlist from whoever is in it. A platform missing from those comparisons, or whose charges take three pages to work out, rarely gets a look, however competitive it is. The decision forms in someone else's table.

Why isn't our investment platform in fee comparisons?
Fee comparison decides it, and those comparisons live in review articles, comparison tools and assistant answers. They include platforms whose charges are easy to verify and consistent across sources. If your charges are hard to extract or your data is out of date, you're left out — usually a bigger problem than being slightly more expensive.

Should an investment platform show worked fee examples?
Investors want the total: account or platform fee, dealing charges, fund costs, currency conversion and transfer-out fees, at their portfolio size. When that's spread across a tariff PDF and two FAQs, they trust the comparison table instead. One charges page with worked examples at a few sizes, in compliance-approved wording, is what writers and assistants quote.

Why do investment transfers stall or get cancelled?
Moving an existing portfolio is slow and depends on another provider, so investors get nervous. If the only contact is a generic email after weeks of silence, some cancel and others never move the rest of their money. Status updates at each step, a named contact and plain explanations of delays keep the transfer, and the trust, on track.
What we'd do about it
Five moves, in the order that pays.
Fix the leaks first, then grow. Scaling a funnel that loses enquiries just spends more to lose more.

Questions investment platforms ask
Straight answers, no sales script.
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, a 30-minute call is the fastest route — no pitch, no deck.
We're not the cheapest. Should we still push for comparisons?
Yes. Investors compare more than the lowest number — the total at their portfolio size, account types and transfer costs. Being absent removes you from the decision entirely; being included lets your actual strengths show.
Can our content explain which investments to choose?
Not unless you're permitted to give that kind of guidance and the content is approved accordingly. We write about account types, charges, transfers and how the platform works — never recommendations, return claims or performance promises.
How should we present our charges?
In one place, with every charge listed and worked examples at a few portfolio sizes, worded the way your compliance team approves. Investors and comparison writers should be able to work out the total without contacting you.
Do assistants really affect platform choice?
Investors increasingly ask assistants cost and comparison questions before opening an account. We can't control what assistants say, but we can make accurate information about you easy to find and consistent, and track how you're described.
How long before a platform notices a difference?
Transfer and funding follow-ups can show within weeks. Comparison inclusion and assistant mentions usually take a few months and depend on third parties. We don't guarantee rankings, inclusion or accounts.
Can we use customer reviews and ratings in our marketing?
Possibly, depending on the rules in your market and how the reviews were collected. We use review content only in ways your compliance team confirms are allowed, and never alongside claims about performance.
Can an investment platform post on social media under promotion rules?
Yes, but a post that promotes the platform is likely to be a financial promotion: it needs approval, fair and balanced wording and the risk warnings that apply in your market, even in a short video. Explain charges, tools and how transfers work rather than which investments to buy, avoid past-performance claims, and take care with paid creators.
Do we get a free website for our platform?
Yes. Every monthly plan includes a free 5-page website for your platform — fast, AI-readable and yours to keep. It goes live within 48 hours once your plan is active and the launch checklist is done. Your domain, hosting and any paid tools sit outside the offer and stay in your name; online shops and booking systems are quoted separately. What's included
