They searched the exam syllabus. You only have a batches page.
Your faculty know the exam inside out and past students recommend you. Yet students and parents spend months searching the syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility and preparation plans — and the centre that answered those questions is the one they walk into. This playbook shows where that demand goes.
The short versionMost test prep and coaching centres lose students because they publish nothing for the huge volume of exam questions people search, keep fees, batch timings and demo classes behind a phone call, and reply slowly in the weeks before a batch starts. Exam guides, plain fee answers and fast routing fix it.

Why a good centre still loses the student
Students don't search for coaching. They search for the exam.
Months before anyone looks for a coaching centre, they are searching the exam: syllabus, pattern, eligibility, dates, how long to prepare, which topics carry the most marks. Parents join in closer to the decision, asking about fees, batch timing and whether the demo class is free. The centre that has been answering those questions all along gets the visit. A centre with only a batches page and a phone number arrives too late.

Why don't students find our coaching centre on Google Maps?
Search demand around an exam is enormous and mostly answered by forums, news sites and national brands. A local centre with exam guides, a profile listing each course and batch, and answered questions gets found by students nearby who are already preparing. A profile that only says “coaching classes” is invisible to them.

Should a coaching centre publish its course fees online?
Students and parents want the course fee, what it includes, whether instalments are possible, batch timings and whether there's a free demo — before they call. “Call for fees” reads as expensive or pushy. A course page that answers all of it plainly is what parents compare and what assistants quote.

Why do coaching enquiries go cold before a new batch?
Enquiries cluster in the weeks before a batch starts and right after exam dates or results are announced. A student who messages three centres at night joins whichever replies first with a demo slot. An answer the next afternoon, once the counsellor reaches the inbox, usually finds the seat taken elsewhere.

Questions coaching centres ask
Straight answers, no sales script.
Straight answers. If yours isn't here, a 30-minute call is the fastest route — no pitch, no deck.
Is it worth writing exam guides when big national sites already have them?
Yes, if they're useful and specific. National sites rank for the broad terms; guides written with your faculty on preparation plans, common mistakes and local test centres often answer the narrower questions — and bring readers who live near you.
Can we advertise our toppers and results?
Only results you can verify, with the student's consent and records to support them, and never wording that implies a guaranteed rank. Coaching advertising is regulated in several markets, so everything we publish stays within the rules that apply in your country.
Should we publish fees, or will competitors undercut us?
Competitors can find your fees with one phone call. Parents can't compare what they can't see, and many won't call. Publish the fee and what it includes; the inclusions and the teaching are what set you apart.
Most of our students come through referrals. Do we need search?
Referred students still search your name, check reviews and look for fees and batch timings before calling. And referrals don't reach students who start preparing months early — exam searches do.
How long before a coaching centre notices a difference?
Profile, reply and demo follow-up fixes can show within one batch cycle. Exam guides usually take a few months to rank, so start them well before the next admission season. We don't guarantee rankings or enrolments.
We also run online batches. Does this still apply?
Yes. Online batches widen who you can reach, so exam guides and course pages matter more, not less. The local profile still brings in students who want classroom teaching nearby.
Which social platforms matter most for a coaching centre?
YouTube, Instagram and WhatsApp. Students learn the syllabus and pattern from free videos for months, follow faculty on Instagram and message to ask about batches and fees. Facebook still matters for parents. Only share ranks or results you can verify, with the student's consent.
Do we get a free website for our centre?
Yes. Every monthly plan includes a free 5-page website for your centre — fast, AI-readable and yours to keep. It goes live within 48 hours once your plan is active and the launch checklist is done. Your domain, hosting and any paid tools sit outside the offer and stay in your name; online shops and booking systems are quoted separately. What's included
